Windy Knoll Farm is our lovely country haven in the beautiful town of Bradford, Maine, and home to Windy Knoll Goldens – our beautiful family of AKC registered Golden Retrievers.
We are the Moores: Greg, Arielle, Jonathan, Mary Grace, Esther, Elizabeth, Anna, David, and Andrew. As a family, we are a small, trusted breeder of golden retriever puppies and we love working together to take care of our Goldens! It is our joy to raise happy, healthy AKC Golden Retrievers and see them placed in loving homes where they and their families enjoy a lifetime of mutually delightful companionship! Our primary goal is to provide our customers with Golden canine companions who excel in personality and health, and our breeding American and English Cream Goldens are chosen both with solid genetics and excellent temperaments.
Greg is the primary care-giver, keeping our dogs and puppies well supplied with fresh food and water, manning the housing and fencing, and capturing many beautiful memories of each dog and puppy on camera. He also does ongoing research on Golden Retrievers, so that we are continually learning more about of every aspect of the breed. He also enjoys handling much of the communications aspect of Windy Knoll Goldens, responding to emails and calls, keeping the website updated. He, along with the children, washes and combs the dogs, plays with the puppies, prepares special treats for the mothers, and takes care of the paperwork required for AKC (American Kennel Club) registration.
Arielle works alongside of Greg, filling in the gaps when necessary. She primarily edits pictures, edits the website and is involved in the decision making regarding the future plans of Windy Knoll Goldens.
We both enjoy involving our children, from youngest to oldest, in as many aspects of caring for our dogs as possible! Our oldest ones enjoy being an integral part of the team work that occurs on a daily basis to care for our Goldens , while the younger ones’ specialties include snuggling and playing with the young pups.
As a caring breeder of golden retriever puppies, we raise our dogs as part of our family and include lots of fresh air, exercise, and sunshine as part a healthy lifestyle for each of our canine members. Our dogs enjoy the beauty of our country acres and spend their days exploring the fields, lazing in the shade, catching grasshoppers, and keeping us company in all
of our outdoor activities. Our puppies are lovingly socialized from the day of birth, and introduced to bio-sensor therapy.
The nutrition of our dogs is of primary concern to us, as healthy parents are the foundation for healthy puppies, who will enjoy longevity and vitality all through their days. In addition, with the alarmingly high numbers of Goldens encountering problems ranging from cancer to thyroid and immune disorders, we are convinced that a nutritionally excellent foundation is a primary aid in immunity defense against these diseases. Feeding our dogs and puppies Zignature premium dog food, The Honest Kitchen Organic low heat dehydrated dog food and supplementing with vitamins and minerals, along with a fantastic product called NuVet Plus, helps to keep them thriving and in top-rate shape! We care for our dogs with a combination of natural and traditional resources.
