New Photos of Clover’s 23 Day Old Golden Retriever Puppies

At 23 days old, Clover and Charlie’s eleven puppies radiate puppy contentment. Nuzzling each other, trundling through their fresh wood shavings, cozily piling up in the corner, rushing Mom for something good to eat, they are growing well.

All of our AKC golden retriever puppies are super cute and cuddly. This makes choosing a puppy from a litter challenging in a positive way. What are some tips for choosing a puppy from among its siblings? While an accurate assessment of puppy personality is hard to gauge at a young age, there some some helpful general observations that can be made. Personable intelligent puppies are curious about the world around them and relate confidently with people.

Does the puppy sniff or nudge your hand when you hold it out? Does it welcome your approach or cower away? Is it willing to roll over on its back for a belly rub? Is the puppy interested in simple play? How is it interacting with the other puppies? Is it comfortable with different noises and activity?

Probably the most reliable factor in picking a puppy is taking time to connect with it. Don’t rush your decision-take time to watch, play, handle, and bond. We daily spend time handling and observing our puppies and are always glad to share our thoughts and insights into puppy personality.
