There is something magical about watching a puppy experience their first spring walk. The world is waking up after a long winter, and everything is new, exciting, and worth investigating — especially if you are an adventurous little girl named Sadie! It was a beautiful, sunny spring day here in Maine — the kind of day you wait all winter for. The sky was a brilliant blue, the sun was warm on our faces, and the air had that fresh, earthy smell that only comes with the season changing. It was the perfect day for a puppy’s first spring walk, and Sadie was more than ready!
From the moment we stepped outside, Sadie was in her element. She trotted along eagerly, investigating every puddle, every clump of sticks, and every interesting smell along the way. Her little nose was going a mile a minute and her tail never stopped wagging! While most of the snow is gone, there were still a few stubborn patches hiding in the shaded corners of the woods where the sunlight hadn’t quite reached yet. Sadie, of course, found every single one of them!
After a grand adventure on the trails, Sadie returned home happily worn out — and wasted absolutely no time curling up for a well-deserved nap. There is nothing sweeter than a puppy sleeping soundly after their first spring walk in the fresh Maine air!
