We’re excited to officially introduce Maggie, our new Bernese Mountain Dog! From the moment she arrived, Maggie has brought joy, energy, and an unmistakable love for people into our daily routine. One of her favorite things to do is go for walks in the surrounding meadows and woods with us! Maggie is playful, outgoing, and full of personality. She thrives on interaction and has a natural confidence that makes her a pleasure to be around. Whether she’s greeting visitors or engaging in play, she shows the friendly, people-oriented temperament the Bernese Mountain Dog is known for.
The Bernese Mountain Dog was originally bred as a versatile farm dog in Switzerland, working closely alongside families to pull carts, tend livestock, and provide companionship. That close working relationship with people shaped the breed into the loyal, affectionate, and dependable dogs they are today. Modern Bernese Mountain Dogs are known for their balance—playful yet steady, affectionate yet calm. Maggie embodies this beautifully with her fun-loving attitude and kind, easygoing temperament.
