Prince And Izzy’s Golden Mountain Puppies Are Growing Up!

It’s hard to believe how much can change in just a few weeks. The latest photos of Prince and Izzy’s Golden Mountain Dog puppies are in, and these little ones are no longer the sleepy, snuggly newborns we introduced you to. They’re walking, wagging, and discovering the world one wobbly step at a time.

These handsome guys seem to have gotten Prince’s chill personality- they are very calm form the most part and love to just snuggle in your lap!

This litter is hitting all the big early milestones. Their eyes are bright and curious, their ears are perking up at every new sound, and those signature Golden Mountain coats are getting fluffier by the day. We’re seeing the classic blend of Golden Retriever sweetness and Bernese Mountain Dog steadiness — gentle souls with big, soft eyes and the kind of teddy-bear looks that stop you in your tracks. Each pup is starting to show a little personality, too. There’s the bold explorer who’s always first out of the puppy pile, the cuddler who’d rather be in your lap than anywhere else, and the thoughtful one who studies everything before deciding it’s worth investigating. Watching them become individuals is one of our favorite parts of raising a litter here at Windy Knoll Goldens!

Did You Know? The Golden Mountain Dog may be a modern crossbreed, but its two parent breeds have deep, working-class roots. Bernese Mountain Dogs were bred in the Swiss Alps over 2,000 years ago to haul carts of milk and cheese for farmers, while Golden Retrievers were developed in the Scottish Highlands in the 1860s by Lord Tweedmouth to retrieve waterfowl. So when you bring home a Golden Mountain pup, you’re really bringing together a Swiss farmhand and a Scottish gun dog — two hardworking heritages rolled into one very cuddly package.

In just a few weeks these sweet little ones will be leaving us to join there new families! We are so incredibly blessed to get to raise this amazing litter and can’t wait for their new families to enjoy them as much as we have!!
