Up On Their Feet! Our Delightful 4 Week Old Golden Retriever Puppies

What a difference a week makes! Our 4 week old golden retriever puppies are up on their feet and going places, and the sleepy row we lined up for you in the last set of photos has turned into something a good deal harder to photograph.

Two weeks ago the walking was still more of a swimming motion. Now they are properly mobile, and they have started toddling around gaining confidence and more experience each day! Eyes and ears are wide open, they have all found their voices, and they have started the slow business of learning to be dogs rather than one warm pile. Emerald takes herself off for a quiet half hour here and there now, which is exactly what she should be doing at this stage!

Everybody sat for portraits again this week, and photographing 4 week old golden retriever puppies is a rather different job than it was a week ago since now they don’t like to hold still anymore! Here is how they are looking.
