Poppy is in her last week of training with us, and she goes home to her new family on October 30! She is one of George and Violet’s golden retriever puppies who stayed behind when the rest of her litter went home last September, so she could complete our six week training program. This last week has been a review of everything she’s learned, from her basic commands to walking nicely on a leash and greeting people without jumping, as well as basic foundational manners!

What Poppy Worked On This Week!
Poppy practiced sit, down, stay and come this week, and she comes right back when she is called. She walks nicely on a leash, and she has learned good manners around people. We also kept up her grooming and bathing, so being brushed and bathed is nothing new to her. She is crate trained too, which will help her settle in at home. She is doing so well, and she is ready to head off to her new family.

We’re going to miss having her around. If you’re thinking of getting a trained Golden Retriever puppy, we’d love to help you out. We only offer a limited number of spots for trained puppies from each litter, so don’t hesitate to reach out. You can add our training program when you reserve a puppy!
