Built in 2021 and based on 10+ years of previous breeding experience, Windy Knoll Golden’s facilities are state of the art. Measuring approximately 3000 sq. feet of climate-controlled space, the main structure has 10 kennels. Each kennel has an indoor sleeping/play space with individual access to shaded outdoor runs. All kennels also have multiple windows and double doors for ventilation and interaction. Our kennels exceed the exacting criteria established by American Kennel Club for professional dog handlers.
The entire building has in-floor radiant heating and a complete drainage system for washing and sanitizing. We have a separate wash/feeding room with industrial sinks, washing machine/dryer, and refrigeration unit. The grooming room has double grooming tables with mechanical lifts and is fitted with a custom stainless steel wash station with hot and cold water on tap.
Beyond the main building set farther back on our property, we have three smaller climate-controlled units. Each of these units has 5 individual kennels with outdoor runs. Between the main building and our smaller structures lies our exercise field. Almost a quarter of an acre of securely fenced meadow, this outdoor space is great for fresh air and safe romping. However, our beautiful outdoor space is almost unlimited with over 100 acres of fields and forest beyond our immediate kennel area. Our dogs thoroughly enjoy this natural setting for walks, training, and fetch.
