Betty and Freddy’s puppies are growing cuter by the day! Just past the 2 week milestone they are fat, plum and very cute!
At two weeks, golden puppies are in what is called the transitional stage, and they change so fast. The American Kennel Club notes that a puppy’s birth weight roughly doubles by now. The pups cannot walk yet, but they are already pushing up on wobbly legs and wriggling toward their littermates and the warmth of mama Betty. Their little eyes are opening too. Goldens usually open their eyes somewhere between ten and fourteen days, so Betty’s pups are blinking at the world for the very first time. Their ears are just starting to open, and soon they will begin to hear our soft voices and turn toward the light. It is one of our favorite stages to witness.
Betty have 7 precious females in this litter, and a few of them are still available! They are soft, light golden, and just as cuddly as can be, with round little bellies and the gentlest dispositions already showing through. It is still early to know all their personalities, but carrying on both Betty and Freddie’s personalities, these girls are sure to grow into affectionate, people loving companions who want nothing more than to be right by your side. Whether you are dreaming of a walking buddy, a snuggle partner on the couch, or a devoted family dog who adores the kids, one of Betty’s girls may be the perfect match. And let’s not forget the boys! Betty blessed us with two handsome little gentlemen in this litter, Finn and Otis, sporting their black and gray collars. They are sturdy, soft, light golden fellows with the sweetest faces and those same round puppy bellies we cannot get enough of. We can’t wait to watch them grow and their personality come out!
For now, our main job is keeping mama Betty happy and her whelping box warm, clean, and quiet. W have begun gentle daily handling. That early handling means so much to us and the puppies! We raise every litter the same loving, hands on way, with soft touches, calm voices, and plenty of cuddles from our whole family.
