Our Golden Retriever Puppies Growing Up! Emerald And Brad’s Litter!

There is nothing around here quite like watching golden retriever puppies growing up, and Emerald’s litter is going about it in a hurry! The quiet little pile we showed you in Emerald’s arrival post has turned into a row of separate opinions, and we have the photos to prove it.

This is our favorite stretch of the whole thing. Eyes come open a squint at a time, ears start waking up, and a puppy who spent his first fortnight doing nothing but eating and sleeping suddenly works out that there is a whole room out there. In these photos the walking is still more of a swimming motion than anything else, and they spend a good part of the day falling over. Emerald takes every bit of it in her stride and keeps counting heads.

Emerald whelped this litter to our Bradford on September 1, and they are every bit as dark red as we hoped they would be. They will be headed off to join their forever families on October 27!
