Maggie’s First Golden Mountain Dog Litter: A Thrilling New Chapter

We have exciting news to share! Our next golden mountain dog litter is on the way, and this one is extra special because it is Maggie’s first litter. Many of you met Maggie back in February, when our Bernese Mountain Dog girl first joined the family. She has grown into a loving, friendly sweetheart with the most wonderful personality, and we could not be prouder of her!

This litter is a first for us in another way too. Our earlier Golden Mountain puppies came from Prince, our Bernese boy, paired with one of our golden girls. This time it’s the other way around! Maggie is the mother, and the father is our golden retriever Freddy, a friendly, playful boy whose puppies carry on his stunning looks and wonderful personality!

A golden mountain dog puppy with a black coat and tan markings on its chest and paws, sitting in the grass with green foliage behind it at Windy Knoll Goldens in Bradford, Maine, the cross families weigh up when they compare golden mountain dog vs bernese.

When Maggie’s Golden Mountain Dog Litter Is Due

Maggie and Freddy were bred in mid September, so we are expecting puppies around November 18, 2026, with go home day around January 13, 2027. If you’d like a refresher on the breed, our golden mountain dog guide covers size, coat and temperament.

We’ll share photos as soon as the puppies arrive! In the meantime, you can see all of our upcoming litters, or reserve a puppy here.
