One of our priorities at Windy Knoll Goldens is to provide puppies that will be excellent, healthy, friendly companions, and pets for life. The foundation to achieving our goal is making sure the parents exhibit those qualities. As caring golden retriever breeders, we test our dogs for common golden retriever genetic points including DM, GRPRA1, GRPRA2, MD etc. and have them certified with the Orthopedic Foundation of America (OFA) or PennHip to ensure our breeding dogs and their puppies are not prone to genetic weaknesses. X-Ray tests and screens are performed when the dogs reach an appropriate age – usually 2 years old (OFA) and usually around 1 year old (PennHIP). As responsible golden retriever breeders we always research our pedigree for optimal breeding lines.
Clover and George are expecting a litter of dark red Golden Retriever puppies around November 11, 2026. The puppies will be ready to go home around January 6, 2027. Clover is a quiet, friendly girl and one of the best mothers we have ever had. George is our largest and darkest red golden, and he always wants to be wherever we are, happy and vivacious he is such a fun guy to have around! Together, they will have puppies that are sweet, well balanced, and ready for any adventure!
All of the pre-birth reservations for this litter have been taken. Once the puppies are born we will know how many there are, and if there are more puppies than families waiting we will open up a few more spots. We do have other litters due around the same time, so please take a look at our upcoming litters if you are hoping for a puppy this winter.
Maggie, our friendly, outgoing Bernese girl, is expecting her first litter with Freddy around November 18, 2026, and the puppies should be ready to go home around January 13, 2027. This is our first golden mountain litter with a Bernese mother.
Maggie is confident without being pushy, loves a long walk through the meadows and woods, and has one bright blue eye that nobody forgets. Freddy is our cheerful English Cream golden who has been gentle with our children since he was a puppy himself.

Molly and Prince are expecting a Golden Mountain litter around November 6, 2026. The puppies will be ready to go home around New Year’s Day! Molly was born here on the farm and is our calm and patient girl who loves everyone! Prince is a big, gentle Bernese Mountain Dog who gets along with everyone, from our horses and goats to our kids. Together, they should have puppies that are sweet, calm and well balanced, and ready to settle right into loving families who are ready for many happy years and adventures together! The male pre-birth reservations for this litter have been taken, and we still have openings for females. Only a few female spots are left and they do fill up quickly, so please reserve a puppy soon if you would like one of Molly’s girls.
Rosie and Freddy are expecting a litter of blond golden retriever puppies around November 13, 2026, and the puppies should be ready for their new homes around January 8, 2027.
Rosie is a gentle, quietly loyal girl with a honey colored coat and the softest ears on the farm, and she settled into motherhood so naturally with her first litter this spring that it surprised even us. Freddy is our friendly English Cream who greets every visitor and has always been gentle with little ones.
