One of our priorities at Windy Knoll Goldens is to provide puppies that will be excellent, healthy, friendly companions, and pets for life. The foundation to achieving our goal is making sure the parents exhibit those qualities. As caring golden retriever breeders, we test our dogs for common golden retriever genetic points including DM, GRPRA1, GRPRA2, MD etc. and have them certified with the Orthopedic Foundation of America (OFA) or PennHip to ensure our breeding dogs and their puppies are not prone to genetic weaknesses. X-Ray tests and screens are performed when the dogs reach an appropriate age – usually 2 years old (OFA) and usually around 1 year old (PennHIP). As responsible golden retriever breeders we always research our pedigree for optimal breeding lines.

Their puppies are due on July 24th, and we have been looking forward to this pairing for a long time. Violet is a lovely mixed English Cream and American Red with a quiet, gentle nature that is impossible not to adore. She does not demand your attention, but the moment you offer it, she will nuzzle right up to you with those big expressive eyes and wait for a scratch behind the ears. George is our largest and darkest American Red, a big handsome 85-pound golden with a rich thick coat and the kind of warm, outgoing personality that makes everyone around him smile. Together they bring the gentle, loving, people-focused temperaments that make golden retrievers such exceptional companions. With Violet’s soft creamy coloring and George’s stunning dark red coat, these puppies could fall anywhere on that beautiful golden spectrum. We’re thrilled to announce an upcoming Golden Mountain Dog litter, expected within the next few weeks! This special pairing brings together Prince, our handsome Bernese Mountain Dog, and Ruby our stunning Golden Retriever — a match we’ve been looking forward to for some time! These puppies are expected to carry on their parents good looks as well as calm loving personalities!
