American Golden retrievers from our very own Windy Knoll Goldens will be ready to go home the first week of April or May if the training option is chosen!
One of our priorities at Windy Knoll Goldens is to provide puppies that will be excellent, healthy, friendly companions, and pets for life. The foundation to achieving our goal is making sure the parents exhibit those qualities. As caring golden retriever breeders, we test our dogs for common golden retriever genetic points including DM, GRPRA1, GRPRA2, MD etc. and have them certified with the Orthopedic Foundation of America (OFA) or PennHip to ensure our breeding dogs and their puppies are not prone to genetic weaknesses. X-Ray tests and screens are performed when the dogs reach an appropriate age – usually 2 years old (OFA) and usually around 1 year old (PennHIP). As responsible golden retriever breeders we always research our pedigree for optimal breeding lines.

George and Ellamae produce our darkest red golden retriever puppies because both parents are dark red. Both parents have been tested for many genetic weaknesses and matched based on the results. Both go through further hip testing with PennHIP which is a superior, scientific based hip test. Of course the parents’ personalities play just as much a part of our selection process. Both are friendly, confident, playful, and loving. George’s energy is a little higher than Ellamae’s who is a bit quieter and more “mature”. With that, both produce easy to train, family friendly puppies
***All puppies have been spoken for*** This is the first time King Henry I and Clover have paired up! Clover had 3 healthy chunky puppies! All are spoken for! Henry has a glistening dark red coat and a strong personality. Clover is a very sweet and mild golden who loves her puppies and is gentle and kind.
Susie’s dark red goldens will be going home in May! These popular goldens are both dark red, and super friendly. This will be Susie’s last litter.
Lady and Charlie had their first litter with 11 puppies on March 10! Lady cares for her puppies like a pro and they are growing fat and happy very quickly. Our puppies all go through something called Bio-sensor therapy developed by the US military to promote neurological, physiological, and physical wellbeing. Besides this, they have playtime with us each day as well as with each other.
Available!
Apart from the recent litters listed below, we occasionally have older puppies available (3-9 months) that have already gone through preliminary training. At times we also have retired goldens that we are looking to re-home.
