Molly has been part of Windy Knoll since the day she was born. Her mother is our retired Patsy, one of the best mothers we have ever had, and her father is King George. This spring Molly raised her first litter, our little explorers, and she handled it with the same unhurried calm she brings to everything else. Nothing seems to rattle her.
Prince came to us from Bernese Mountain Dog lines in Poland and has earned points in the AKC show ring, but around here he is simply the big, kind dog who wanders over to check on the horses and goats and plays with our children. He has already given us two lovely Golden Mountain litters, first with Izzy and then with Ruby.
Golden Mountain Dog puppies from a first generation pairing like this one usually come in a mix of the classic tricolor of black, rust and white, and black with white markings on the chest, face and feet. Expect long, soft, wavy coats and big frames, with most growing into seventy to a hundred pound adults. Between Molly’s steadiness and Prince’s gentle Bernese nature, we are looking forward to a mellow, affectionate bunch.
