Teddy and Goldie’s First Litter of English Cream/American Golden Pups

English Cream American Golden Retrievers

We are delighted to welcome Autumn in Maine with several new litters of beautiful puppies here at Windy Knoll Goldens! Each day abounds with a lot of puppy snuggles, puppy playing, and puppy care! Teddy and Goldie’s litter of English Cream/American Golden pups arrived on September 2nd, an adorable bunch of soft cream Goldens.

Goldie is a beautiful first time mom to this crew of four boys and one girl – and all her faithful mothering has resulted in some record breaking chubby pups!

Each week finds these rolly polly little ones growing cuter, stronger, and more mobile! Now, if they are not busy napping, nursing, or being snuggled, they love to toddle around, exploring!

With our handsome, friendly, loyal English Cream Teddy as their father, and beautiful, sweet, honey colored American Golden, Goldie, these pups will mature into gorgeous, lovely Goldens.

Good night, sleep tight!

Watch for updates of several other new litters coming in the next couple of days!

Maine-ly Summer Puppy Pictures

Can you believe it? Summer is past and Autumn is here already, blowing in warm and breezy days!

With autumn colors starting to show in the trees; summer flowers nodding in the meadow; eagles circling the peaceful, blue sky; puppies growing fast with games of tackle, chase, and tug-o-war, life here in Maine is worth living.  Puppies at our new farm in Bradford, Maine have had the wonderful distinction of growing up with daily playtime in our beautiful warm and sunny pastures.

As you can see, they are about as happy as can be as they get individual attention each day by us and our children. They even get to practice navigating the stairs leading up to our front porch. Hint: click on each picture to enlarge it.

While each of these beloved puppies have already found their new homes, we have additional golden retriever puppies going home this fall and early winter with only a few openings left.  We’ll post updates of each new litter that has recently been born!

Elemay of Windy Knoll Goldens

Elemay of Windy Knoll Goldens

As most of you know, Windy Knoll Goldens has moved to Bradford, Maine which is a small rural town in the country. One of our newest mothers, Elemay, has whelped her first litter of 11 beautiful, healthy, dark red goldens born on the 8th of June with very little help from us. She is a wonderful mother who is sister to a few of our other goldens like Clara, Patsy and Susie. This line is very smart, sweet and friendly.

Medium Colored Golden Retriever

How to Stop Puppy Biting

A few people have commented that while they love their puppy, they don’t love it when their puppy bites them. Here is a great training video from Cesar, training the owner how to respond to puppy biting.

April’s Dark Red Goldens Are Doing Great!

Is it possible to post too many puppy pictures? Is it possible to decide which litter or even which puppy is the cutest? I’ll let you determine that – but we couldn’t post pictures of both Daisy and Spice’s pups without including an update on April’s fine litter!

April and Grant’s puppies are now three weeks old, beautiful dark red little canines just the right size for little hands to hold! Our little children love how nicely these pups fit into chubby hands and little laps, and how they aren’t quite as active as their older counterparts, making them perfect for sweet snuggles! With milky blue eyes open to the beautiful world around them and little legs growing stronger with each day, these little boys and girls are enjoying more and more forays in the spring sunshine!

Puppy Pictures of Spice’s Lovely Litter

After sharing some cute photos of Daisy and Teddy’s puppies, we also wanted to pop on with some pictures of Spice and Buddy’s equally adorable litter.

At four weeks old, these little pups are enjoying more adventures in life, including eating food, wrestling and tumbling over one another, and playing outdoors whenever the weather is nice enough.  And in spite of being a bit younger than Daisy’s pups, they are just as eager to keep up outside, trotting through the grass on chubby little legs, galloping after the children in games of chase, and sensibly seeking comfortable arms or a shady green retreat when these antics tire them out!
